New Single ‘Who’s Going Home With Who’

Music Awards & New Songs!

Well hello there! Spring has sprung and so have so many wonderful opportunities and adventures in my life.  I’m getting excited for the Island Music Awards coming up on April 21st!  I would LOVE to win for ‘Song of the year’ (Fallen Angel)  What an amazing opportunity to be recognized for not only the writing of a great song, but all the other aspects that go into making a song stand out above the rest.  Very Cool!  I am also excited about this summer and some beautiful sunshine that hopefully will be heading our way :)

This summer I’m hoping to perform across the Island in small intimate venues surrounded by fans and music lovers who enjoy an acoustic atmosphere.  Also, I believe I will be creating my EP soon and releasing it in the summer months hopefully!  My 2nd single from this EP, ‘Who’s going home with who’ will be released when I reach 1,000 Followers on Facebook!!!  So spread the message to your friends so you can enjoy some new music!

I am planning a trip in the fall to Nashville - and soon a trip out to LA for a writing conference and to play at a few venues.  Hoping to create some new music and be inspired to write and record only the very best songs for you guys.  I think you will like where my sound is heading … and hopefully some of the words and stories will move you like they did the first time I wrote them. 

I am SO excited about a few of my new songs!!  One is called ‘Why Me’ - a love song sung by a girl who can’t believe love has finally come around.  Another, ‘Station Road’ shows of a more bluesy/ swamp feel with some awesome country grit to it.  Currently one of my favourites, ‘Bad at Goodbye’ is a universal message about how it’s human nature to not know how to say goodbye.  There are so many more to share, I’m so excited to start playing these live and get YOUR responses!!

Awards, Recordings & Shows!

March 6th

Wow!!!  I haven’t posted a blog in a while … please forgive me!  So to re-cap, after I released my latest single ‘Choose Me’ on itunes, it quickly became popular (thank you) and people are really excited about it!  If you haven’t listened, go to itunes and pop in my full name ‘beth marie anderson’ and check it out!!!  I also let my fans know that if they spread the word and got my facebook fan page up to 1,000 ‘likes’ I would release another Single!!  They are delivering, we are getting close to 800 … so let’s work together and spread the word!  If you enjoy my music, or just like me - spread the word!  I’ll be forever grateful <3

Fallen Angel has been nominated for ‘Song of the Year’ at the Vancouver Island Music Awards and I’m super excited!  Going up against 9 other amazing artists, so you will have to wish me luck :)  The show is on April. 21st (saturday) and it’s open to the public!  Buy your tickets now!  Just google the awards and on the website explains how to purchase tickets!

I’ll be performing on March. 24th  (mark your calendars) in Victoria for a pre-awards show!  Time and place coming soon.   I will be doing an acoustic set for 20 minutes … if you haven’t heard me live, this is a great setting to do so in!  It’s going to be intimate and up close!  No crazy smoke and mirrors, just a girl, her voice and guitar.  My kinda party :-)

In the next few months I’ll be launching a Kickstarter Project - (online funding for arts) and will share more very soon, Tour all across the Island in July/August - be sure to check back for dates/times so you can get tickets!  And of course, I’ll be releasing my 2nd single off this new EP in April!  The 4 song EP will be available in the summer in time for my tour!  Imagine that!

Very excited about this year!  Music Awards, Tour, New Single, Kickstarter Project launching in the fall and another Trip to Music City, Nashville TN to create more songs, perform and do some recording.

I’ll Be Home For Christmas

Well … It has been an amazing journey the past 4 months in Music City USA.  I met wonderful friends, talented artists, and really awesome songwriters.  I’m coming home with 22 brand new songs, which I can’t wait to share with you along the way.  I had a great show the other night with some of my favorite people, Anna Johnson, Sarah Turner, Allen Shervelle, Alice Bergeron, Kelly Murray, DeMetri Moon, Brent Clifford and Marc-Alan Barnette.  <— Check out some of those artists … You will not be disappointed!

I am designing my album artwork, getting everything organized for releasing my EP in the spring of 2012!  I will be releasing a Single on iTunes, so be sure to check the iTunes store or website in a week or so :-)  Can’t wait to share some of my music with you all!!  Thanks for being with me and following my journey throughout the last few years :-)

Well we drove from Nashville TN to Lincoln, Nebraska the other day … Yesterday we drove from NB to Layton, Utah… And Today we are driving from UT to hopefully Seattle, Washington.  It’s been about 13-15 hour driving days and it’s been crazy how much ground we have covered!!  Driving home with my dad and it’s been great - we are trying to get home by tomorrow … Depends on the line at the boarder, and if we catch the last ferry - but I am excited to be home!  It’s been about 6 months since I spent longer than a week at home, so I’m excited!!!

I have been so busy I feel like Christmas has snuck up on me!!!  I can’t wait to wrap presents, see my friends and get baking with my mom while drinking candy cane tea and listening to christmas music!!  What do you do for Christmas that’s special?

It’s Beginning to look a lot like Christmas

2:10am …. December 4th …. it’s sinking in that I am leaving Nashville in 6 days.  I have had an A-mazing time here with all my friends, new and old, and every time my adventure becomes more and more productive and exciting!

I have written over 20 songs here in just 3 months … that’s crazy!!!  What’s even more crazy is I actually love each and every one of them.  It’s going to be hard to only pick a few to be on my next album.  I guess that’s why I have all of you, to help me decide!  I am very excited about my new EP coming out in the Spring of 2012 … I will be releasing 1 song in January on iTunes … then the EP will be released most likely in April.  I just spent the last few weeks mixing these songs and making sure they were perfect for you!  There will be 4 new songs and possibly a few bonus tracks.  How Exciting :)

I have a few shows coming up in Nashville here before I leave to go back to Vancouver Island.  Here is the info!

So I have been a busy little bee, but have been running into trouble all over the place!  First my car heater stops working- and costs a pretty penny to fix, I need new tires for my car, I chipped my back tooth … then today I was in a writing session and BAM … this HUGE crash.  I run to the noise and find water gushing out from a broken pipe in my basement suite … we were running around trying to find out how to turn off the water to the house and finally we turned it off, only to find out the entire half of the basement has flooded.  Goodness me, talk about happy holidays of fun!!  

On a happier note … I am finishing up some recording and writing this week, and get to take my dad around town and show him what I do day to day in Nashvegas.  I am super excited to show him everything I’ve been getting into!  I’ll be driving back to BC on Dec. 10th, so please keep us in your prayers when we are traveling for a safe journey home!  I’ll be posting video, pictures and blogging on my way back, so please keep checking back on more updates!

Again, I am so blessed to have the opportunity to hang out with/write with such talented writers and artists.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all my new friends and fans I’ve made this trip, you guys made it so SO much better.  Thanks for coming to shows and cheering me on, I have never played to an empty room.  :)
